SMALL ARMS RAFFLE

The Friends of Fort Fisher Small Arms Raffle is providing a unique opportunity for Civil War weapons enthusiasts and black powder shooters. This year’s raffle features the 1862 Richmond Rifled-Musket. This black powder rifle, by Armi Sport, features a one-piece forged barrel; military style sights; steel trigger guard, barrel bands; and brass butt plate and nose cap. The lock is marked “1862” to the left of the hammer and “C.S. RICHMOND, VA.” to the right of the hammer. The barrel has the inspector marks “VP” and the eagle head stamping to the left of the breech. The stock is one piece American Walnut with an oil finish. Also included with the rifled-musket is aa bayonet, with scabbard, a white linen sling, and a cleaning kit.

Make Your New Visitor's Center a Reality!

Last year over 900,000 people visited the Fort Fisher State Historic Site property! That's local families, school groups, military groups, retirement groups, Jr. ROTC, Boys/Girls Club Summer Camp, YMCA Summer Camp, tourists and more! When the Visitor's Center was built back in the mid-1960's, it was originally intended to accommodate 25,000 people annually. We’ve far outgrown our capacity. With your help, we will build a larger, updated facility more worthy of the history it represents and the visitors it attracts.
